Round 8 Inauguration

8th round of the World Junior Chess Championships 2014 on 14th Oct 2014 on both the Open and Girls sections were inaugurated by Atul Goel, who heads the Pune chapter of the Lakshya Sports Foundation, Managing Director of the Goel Ganga Group - the realty sector giant, and owner of the Pune Attackers team from the Maharashtra Chess League.

The ceremonial first move was made on the top board game GM Grigoryan Karen (Armenia) - GM Cori Jorge (Peru) in the Open section and WGM Aleksandra Goryachkina (Russia) - WGM Padmini Rout (India) at the Girls section.
