Live Interviews during the 13th Round!

Venkatarama Raja, President of the AICF (All India Chess Federation), and Professor Anantharam, the Chief Arbiter of the tournament, appeared for Live interviews in the studio at the venue.

Mr.Raja, who has taken over the federation recently, outlined his vision for the future of the AICF under his command. Encouraging all the states to start professional chess leagues in the model of the Maharashtra Chess League (MCL) along with a National League, engaging Corporate support for sponsorship and development of the game, and popularizing the game through the internet via Live commentaries and relay apart from social media marketing were some of his aims for the AICF in future, he listed.

Prof Anantharam shared his experiences of being an Arbiter for more than 35 years, and also spelt out his views on his methods and principles behind being an efficient Arbiter.
