Venue visit by Prithviraj Chavan

The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan, who was instrumental in bringing the World Junior Chess Championship 2014 to Pune, Maharashtra, visited the venue during the 10th round and spent quality time. Also present at the same time was Pankaj Kumar, Director of Sports, State of Maharashtra.

A sports-lover and being known for liking and following the game, Mr.Chavan found time to watch players in action, interacted with the Chess community of Pune which included many prominent players, briefed the media, and gave an interview to the online live broadcast for the event.
